Join us at Nostrana on September 29 to celebrate the release of Radicchio, co-authored by our dear friends Lane Selman and Margarett Waterbury. This is not your typical book. It’s an educational, deeply inspiring look at radicchio, complete with recipes, stories, and a love letter to biodiversity.

Lane has long been a collaborator and champion of this stunning (and bitter) vegetable. Through her Culinary Breeding Network work and events like the Sagra del Radicchio and the Variety Showcase - she’s helped expand how we see, grow, and appreciate all plants. What we think of as “vegetables” barely scratches the surface of what’s possible thanks to Mother Nature. Lane’s work in seed saving and preservation ensures that this living, natural art, and the biodiversity behind it, continues to thrive.

Bitter is better.

This will be a full-on soirée: part book signing, part meet-and-greet, part radicchio-fueled celebration. Expect drinks, bites, and plenty of time to chat with Lane, Margarett and Shawn and fellow radicchio lovers.
