After 8 years, the Grain Gathering is returning to the Washington State University Breadlab in Skagit Valley—bringing together farmers, plant breeders, millers, bakers, chefs, researchers, and grain enthusiasts for several days of learning, collaboration, and celebration of regional grains.
The event features hands-on workshops, field tours, panel discussions, and tastings that explore the science, craft, and culture of grains—from plant breeding and agronomy to milling, baking, brewing, and cooking. Participants have the chance to meet the people shaping the future of regional grain economies while experiencing the flavors and possibilities of freshly milled grains and new grain varieties.
